5/12/26: Update for Write & Notes

Another bug fix that needed fixing in Write and Notes. This one crashes if you try to convert plain text to a table. Yikes. More apologies, more proof of what a bad year I’m having.



5/6/26: Ubiquitous toolbar problem

In the last release of 6 apps, I fixed a problem with customizing toolbars in Mac OS 26 Tahoe. The fix unfortunately broke the toolbars on some older systems. So here is a fixed fix that works on all systems from 10.10 to 26. This applies to Calculator, Calendar, Groceries, Journal, Notes, and Write.

Some of these apps, particularly Notes and Write, also have other enhancements and fixes. Photo is also updated for minor UI issues.

I will try harder in the future. I admit to being a little distracted by a lot of personal bad news lately.



04/4/26: Notes tabbed windows have been fixed

This is not April Fools. I finally found a workaround for the random change in Mac OS 26 Tahoe that prevented window tabbing from working in Notes. Yes, it really was not my fault. Notes also has some other bug fixes.

Some other apps also have updates:

  • Calculator has several bug fixes, most related to Tahoe.
  • Write also has many bug fixes, some for Tahoe, some just because I’m human too.
  • Apps with only minor changes are Draw, Groceries, and Journal.



02/14/26: Valentine's Day chocolates?

Not from us, sorry. Just a bunch of software updates. You may have noticed that Mac OS 26 Tahoe has a rather different look. We think the changes are for the worse (yet again) but they required some changes to a few of our apps.

Notes is still not able to do tabbed windows under Tahoe. I'm going to revisit this soon. Stay tuned.

  • Backup can use the selected action line as an example for new ignore rules.
  • Calculator has some important bug fixes.
  • Photo has bug fixes and can now update the creation date (from the metadata) of multiple photos at once.
  • Write allows you to set bold (or other formats) on all text in the first row of a table.
  • Apps with only very minor changes are Draw, Journal, and Notes.
