11/1413: Write and Checkbook updates (both 1.1)

Checkbook and Write have both been updated to version 1.1.

Checkbook now requires OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard or later, and it will run correctly on 10.9 Mavericks.

Write’s changes include:
  • At last there’s a simple way to change the default font for the document.
  • Creating checkbox lists is simpler.
  • The maximum number of table columns and tab stops has increased from 20 to 25.
  • Tables can be striped (alternate rows).
  • There’s now an easy way to fill a whole table column with checkboxes.
  • Several important bug fixes, including some updates for 10.9 Mavericks.

9/12/13: Write update (1.0.12)

Another batch of small improvements and bug fixes for Write.

7/17/13: Dropping support for 10.5 Leopard; Write update (1.0.11)

Future updates to
all of our apps will require system 10.6 Snow Leopard or later. We will not update an app just to remove 10.5 support, but when we do update, it will no longer run on 10.5. Please check the Requirements list just above the Download button on each product page.

Write now fully supports Retina displays, and is our first app to be code signed (it will be recognized as coming from an “identified developer” on 10.8 Lion). This release also includes several enhancements and bug fixes.

If you’re still waiting for a Notes update: I’m working hard on a major release which I hope will be available later this summer. I promise it will be worth the wait.

5/24/13: Write update (1.0.10)

Another batch of small improvements and bug fixes for Write.

4/20/13: Write update (1.0.9)

Write has a handful of small improvements, which include:
  • A way to turn off all checkboxes in a document at once.
  • Optional hyphen support.
  • Preferences requested by users to control the default save format, and whether to see file extensions.
  • Scaling for document background images.
Plus a boatload (a small one) of bug fixes.

3/12/13: Website overhaul

We’ve redone our entire website, with a new look and a new company logo. It should load much faster now, and be a lot easier on the eye. Along with this change we’ve updated all the apps to use slightly different icons (this is a bigger change for Notes, which was still using its original boxy icon) and the new company logo in the About panel. There are no significant changes to any of the apps, so we’re not sending out notifications to anyone.

2/27/13: Updates to Notes (1.2.13) and Write (1.0.7)

These are minor maintenance releases, with only a few trivial new features, but some worthwhile bug fixes.

1/28/13: Updates to Notes (1.2.12) and Write (1.0.6)

These are maintenance releases, with only a few minor new features, but some significant bug fixes.

1/14/13: Write update (1.0.5) and... same as last time

Write has a few minor new features, and a lot of bug fixes. Really. A lot.

Calendar, FreeCell, Solitaire, and Spite & Malice have also been updated.
